Tuesday, 25 July 2023 Today’s Word of Hope:I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you. Luke 10:19 (NIV) * Are you afraid of Satan or evil spirits?* With Christ in you, you have all authority over the enemy. Do you remember reading about a slave girl in Acts, chapter 16? She was possessed by an evil spirit that enabled her to predict the future. She earned a great deal of money for her owners by fortune-telling. She had a habit of following Paul and the other disciples and yelling at them that they were servants of the Most High God. One day, Paul got annoyed with her constant shouting. Filled with the Holy Spirit, he commanded the spirit to come out of her in the name of Jesus Christ, and at that very moment, the evil spirit left the girl. She was set free. * As followers of Jesus, you are also called to stand against the forces of darkness and bring freedom to those oppressed by evil.* Through the name of Jesus and the power of the Holy Spirit, you have authority over every spiritual stronghold.* It is important to note that this authority comes from your relationship with Christ and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit within you.* So, go ahead and start using this God-given authority.* Do not be scared.* Nothing will harm you. Prayer: Lord Jesus, please help me to use the authority you have given me to deliver people from strongholds. Amen.
