Wednesday, 26 July 2023 Today’s Word of Hope:Let us not grow weary while doing good. Galatians 6:9 (NKJV) * Doing good is an act of love, righteousness, and submission to God’s will.* But, doing good can cost you time, health, and other resources, and it can also be complicated and dangerous at times.* It will also add to the stress and strain caused by criticism or ungratefulness on the part of those who received the benefits.* However, do not lose heart for doing good. One story from the New Testament that illustrates this principle is the story of the woman who anointed Jesus’ feet with expensive perfume, found in John 12. She was so grateful for what Jesus had done for her that she could not help but pour out her love for him. When the disciples saw what the woman had done, they were angry. They thought that she was wasting her money on something meaningless. But Jesus defended the woman, saying that she had done a beautiful thing and that her act of love would be remembered forever. Yes! Even today, we remember her noble deed. * This story shows us that even small acts of kindness and love can make a difference.* When we do good, even when it is difficult, we can be confident that God will notice and reward us.* So, do not be worried about what others will think and talk about your good deeds.* Always remember that God is watching your deeds and will reward you accordingly in due time. Prayer: Lord Jesus, please help me not to become weary in doing good to others. Amen.
