May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13 (NIV) The story of Joshua and Caleb helps us see how trust and hope go hand in hand. When the Israelites were scared to enter the Promised Land because it seemed challenging, Joshua and Caleb stood out. They believed in God’s promises even when others were unsure. This belief gave them hope that they could win, even though things looked hard. They did not just say this because they were positive; they truly trusted in God. Their faith in God’s promises was rewarded. After years of wandering, they finally entered the Promised Land. And guess what? With God’s help, they conquered the city of Jericho, just like they had hoped. Joshua and Caleb’s story teaches us that when we trust in God, it makes our hope bigger and stronger. Questions for Reflection: 1. How do you react in times of adversity?2. Do you look up to God and trust in Him even when the odds appear insurmountable?3. How can you encourage others to be strong in challenging times with your words of hope? * Strengthen your faith by spending more time reading God’s words and reflecting on them.* Be mindful to avoid all the negative words that keep coming your way.* Trust in the Lord and His wonder-working power.* You will not be ashamed. Prayer: Lord Jesus, please strengthen my faith in your abilities, help me stay strong, and exhibit hope in you. Amen.
TRUST JESUS.
