Friday, 20 October 2023 Today’s Word of Hope:Now that you have purified yourselves by obeying the truth so that you have sincere love for each other, love one another deeply, from the heart. 1 Peter 1:22 (NIV) Even after becoming king, David maintained his sincere affection and friendship for his friend Jonathan. Jonathan’s son Mephibosheth was crippled in his feet.David heard about Mephibosheth and brought him to live in the royal palace. David treated Mephibosheth like his own son and gave him a place at his table. David loved Mephibosheth, even though he was crippled and could not help him much. This is a beautiful example of sincere love. # Today, many people forget even close friends when out of sight. ‘Out of sight, out of mind’ is a famous saying in English.# How sincere are you in remembering and maintaining relationships irrespective of situations and distances?# Do you maintain family and friendships over generations?# Be sincere in showing God’s love to everyone around.# By doing so, we can make the world a better place. Prayer: Lord Jesus, please help me to be sincere in loving one another. Amen.
