Thursday, 19 October 2023 Today’s Word of Hope:Whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, … just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve. Matthew 20:26, 28 (NIV) Jesus stated that He came to serve rather than be served. He acted on His words and displayed a servant’s heart. During the Last Supper, Jesus removed His outer robe, wrapped a towel around His waist, and began washing the disciples’ feet—a chore usually performed by servants. Through this act, he chose to teach His disciples a profound lesson on humility and service. Later in the Bible, we read of Jesus serving His disciples breakfast beside the Tiberian Sea. # In today’s world, it is rare to find this mentality of serving others, especially those with lower social positions.# As God’s child, do you serve others, especially those less educated or socially lower than yours?# If not, let us begin serving one another with love, as Jesus did.# Let our lives be an authentic witness for Jesus. Prayer: Lord Jesus, please give me your servant-hearted attitude and help me to serve others without bias. Amen.
