Saturday, 21 October 2023 Today’s Word of Hope:They will have no fear of bad news; their hearts are steadfast, trusting in the Lord. Psalm 112:7 (NIV) The word steadfast means firm in belief, determination, or adherence. It describes someone loyal, constant, and unwavering in supporting a cause, person, or principle. For example, a steadfast person of faith who trusts in God even when things are difficult Imagine a steadfast person as a large oak tree deeply rooted in the ground and with a strong trunk. It stands tall and upright, even during a storm. The tree’s branches are flexible and solid and can withstand wind and rain. A steadfast person is like this oak tree. They are deeply rooted in their beliefs and principles. In the book of Acts, we read that Paul and Silas were arrested and beaten for preaching the gospel. They were thrown into prison, and their feet were placed in stocks. At midnight, Paul and Silas began to pray and sing hymns to God. The other prisoners were listening to them. This incident shows how steadfast Paul and Saul were in their love and faith in Jesus. # How steadfast are you in the Lord Jesus?# Get yourself rooted in the Word of God and your personal relationship with Jesus.# Then you, too, can be steadfast and remain unshaken. Prayer: Lord Jesus, please help me be strong and deeply rooted in your word to be steadfast. Amen.
