Thursday, 23 November 2023 Today’s Word of Hope:Lazy hands make for poverty, but diligent hands bring wealth. Proverbs 10:4 (NIV) Laziness and procrastination are against diligence, whereas God appreciates a diligent person. When God sent Adam and Eve out of the Garden of Eden, He commanded them to work hard to get the yield of the land. Throughout history, we can read about thousands of successful men and women. The key ingredient to their success is diligence. Nehemiah in the Bible is a beautiful example of diligence. Nehemiah moved right into action as soon as the King permitted him to return to Jerusalem and rebuild the damaged walls. Despite having permission and resources from the King, he faced unexpected opposition from the enemies of Jerusalem. They created multiple stumbling blocks. Yet, Nehemiah did not give up. He persevered through those troubles and diligently worked with the people of Jerusalem to accomplish the task. # How diligent are you in your work and ministry?# Being diligent also requires perseverance to accomplish our responsibilities.# Perseverance is based on your level of trust in the Lord and your commitment to accomplishing the goal. # Be a person of strong faith in Jesus and remain committed to fulfilling any responsibilities you undertake.# Be diligent and establish yourself as a trustworthy person in society.# By doing so, you can be an effective witness for the Lord Jesus Christ. Prayer: Lord Jesus, please help me be diligent in all my work. Amen.
