Wednesday, 23 August 2023 Today’s Word of Hope:Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing. 1 Thessalonians 5:11 (NIV) * Every day, we all seek encouragement from others for what we do and achieve.* It is critical and helps maintain the positive morale of an individual.* But how often do we encourage others? In the book of Acts, we read about Barnabas playing a crucial role in the early days of Paul’s ministry. When Paul started his ministry, he went to Jerusalem and tried to join the believers there. However, they were cautious and hesitant to welcome Paul since, up until that point, Paul, formerly known as Saul, had been brutally persecuting the church. This is where Barnabas stepped in and vouched for the genuineness of Paul’s transformation. He also made sure to accompany Paul to many places in the ministry as a great source of encouragement and support for the foundation of Paul’s ministry. * As a follower of Christ, you are called to encourage and build others up, especially when someone is going through a rough patch in life.* Your words of encouragement have the potential to lift someone’s spirit, ignite hope, and inspire growth.* When you encourage others, you will also be encouraged.* By building each other up, we create an environment where people feel valued, loved, and empowered to fulfill their God-given purpose. Prayer: Lord Jesus, please help me encourage and build others up. Amen.
