The Way Back Home 🏡
Today’s Word: 📖 “I will bring my people Israel back from exile.” — Amos 9:14 (NIV)
For years, the old family farmhouse and its surrounding orchard stood silent, overgrown with wild thorns and choked by weeds. It had been abandoned decades earlier when the family was forced to move away to the city. But one spring morning, the grandchildren returned with a truck full of tools. They cleared the choking brush, pruned the wild branches, and watered the dry soil. It was hard work, but slowly, the land began to breathe again. What was once a symbol of loss and displacement was restored into a vibrant place of life and laughter. 🏡
In the same way, we often experience seasons of spiritual exile, where we feel distant from God, dry, or disconnected from our true home. We might feel like our lives have become overgrown with worry, regret, or circumstances beyond our control. But God is a master restorer. Just as He promised to bring His people back to their land, He is actively working to bring you back to a place of peace, purpose, and close relationship with Him.
Response: 🚶♂️ Identify one area of your life that feels distant or neglected, and invite God to begin His work of restoration there today.
Prayer: 🙏 Father, thank You that You never abandon me to my dry seasons, but always invite me back home to You. Restore my heart today and rebuild the areas of my life that feel broken. Amen.
