Choosing what is good brings true peace...

“Do what is good and run from evil so that you may live.”

Amos 5:14 (NLT)

Today's Reflection

The Decisive Turnaround 🏃‍♂️

Today’s Word: 📖 “Do what is good and run from evil so that you may live.” — Amos 5:14 (NLT)

Leo was deep into his morning trail run when he heard a low, ominous rumble. Just thirty feet ahead, the dirt path began to fracture, chunks of earth sliding down into the steep ravine below. He didn’t pause to snap a photo, nor did he try to carefully balance along the crumbling edge to see if he could cross. Recognizing the immediate danger, he instantly turned on his heel and sprinted back toward the solid, paved trailhead. By actively running away from the collapsing ground, he preserved his life. 🏃‍♂️

Likewise, we too could encounter situations, habits, or relationships that we know are spiritually unstable. Scripture doesn’t tell us to linger near temptation, try to negotiate with it, or see how close we can get to the edge without falling. Instead, God calls us to make a decisive turnaround—to run toward what is good and flee from what destroys us so we can truly experience the abundant life He has for us.

Response: 🚶‍♂️ Identify one compromise or toxic habit in your life today, and make a conscious, immediate decision to turn and walk away from it.

Prayer: 🙏 Lord, give me the wisdom to recognize spiritual danger and the courage to run from it. Guide my steps onto the solid ground of Your goodness so that I may truly live. Amen.
