The Overflowing Harvest 🍎
Today’s Word: 📖 “You will have plenty to eat, until you are full, and you will praise the name of the LORD your God.” — Joel 2:26 (NIV)
Clara stood at the edge of her family orchard, remembering the devastating frost from two years prior. That winter had stripped the apple trees bare, leaving behind nothing but brittle branches and empty crates. It felt like the barrenness would last forever. But this autumn, a completely different sight greeted her. The branches were bowing low, heavy with sweet, sun-warmed fruit. There were so many apples that her baskets overflowed, and she had to invite the entire neighborhood to help share in the bounty. What was once a landscape of loss had become a feast of abundance. 🌾
In the same way, we often experience seasons of spiritual or emotional famine where our resources, energy, and hope feel completely dried up. But God is a God of restoration. He does not just help us scrape by; He promises to restore what was lost and satisfy us with His goodness until we overflow with praise.
Response: 🚶♂️ Take a moment today to list three ways God has provided for you in the past, turning your focus from what you currently lack to His faithful abundance.
Prayer: 🙏 Lord God, thank You for being the restorer of empty places. Fill my heart with Your goodness today, and let my life be a song of praise for Your faithful provision. Amen.
