God's presence is a constant source of...

“A fountain will flow out of the LORD's house.”

Joel 3:18 (NIV)

Today's Reflection

The Awakening Creek ⛲

Today’s Word: 📖 “A fountain will flow out of the LORD’s house.” — Joel 3:18 (NIV)

During the hottest month of summer, the creek bed behind Leo’s house had dried up to a cracked, dusty trench. The surrounding wildflowers withered into brown stalks, and the birds flew away in search of water. It seemed like life in the valley had completely stalled.

But high up in the mountains, far beyond Leo’s sight, a deep underground spring kept bubbling. Eventually, the cool, pure water found its way down the mountain, trickling into the dry trench. Within days, the trickle became a steady stream. The parched earth drank it in, vibrant green shoots sprouted from the mud, and the woods came alive with song once more. 🌿

In the same way, our hearts can often feel like that dry creek bed—parched by stress, exhausted by life’s demands, and drained of joy. But God does not leave us in our drought. The fountain flowing from His house represents His endless, life-giving grace and Holy Spirit. When we position ourselves in His presence, His love flows into our driest places, reviving our souls and bringing hope back to life.

Response: 🚶‍♂️ Take five minutes today to sit quietly in God’s presence, asking Him to pour His refreshing Spirit into any area of your life that feels dry or exhausted.

Prayer: 🙏 Lord, when my soul feels dry and weary, let the fresh waters of Your presence wash over me. Revive my heart today with Your endless joy and peace. Amen.
