Monday, 25 September 2023 Today’s Word of Hope:Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Philippians 4:8 (NIV) The term “noble” is an adjective that describes qualities or characteristics marked by high moral principles, dignity, honor, and excellence. This verse encourages us to think about noble things in life. Our actions reflect our thoughts, attitudes, beliefs, and priorities. Look at the story of Ruth in the Bible; her actions set her apart from most other women in history. She, a young widow, had the option of returning to her family and starting her life again. However, she decided to stay with her mother-in-law and return to Bethlehem. Ruth was steadfast in her loyalty and love for Naomi. She clearly communicated her zeal and commitment towards the God of Israel. After returning to Bethlehem, Ruth did not stay quiet. She started working hard and followed the advice and guidance of her mother-in-law with humility and obedience. Ruth eventually married Boaz, and their story became a part of the lineage of King David and, ultimately, Jesus. Examine your circumstances and how you are dealing with them. 1. Like Ruth, have you ever made a choice that required great sacrifice but was driven by noble values? 2. How can you actively cultivate noble virtues such as loyalty, selflessness, and dedication in your own life and relationships? # Do not get carried away by worldly standards.# Be determined to demonstrate the distinction of being God’s child by way of your life decisions, commitment, loyalty, and caring nature Prayer: Lord Jesus, please help me think of higher things in life and inspire others. Amen.
