Friday, 29 September 2023 Today’s Word of Hope:And we know that in all things, God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28 (NIV) Paul and Silas were caught and imprisoned in Philippi for preaching about Jesus. They were beaten and thrown into the inner cell, their feet bound in stocks. This sequence of events could have offended Paul. However, he would have been convinced that God would still work something good out of his prison experience. In prison, Paul and Silas continued praying and praising God. The other prisoners were amazed and listened as Paul and Silas shared the gospel with them. In the middle of the night, there was a sudden earthquake. The prison doors flew open, and the prisoners’ chains fell off. The jailer woke up and saw what was happening. He was terrified, thinking that the prisoners had escaped. But Paul shouted to him, “Don’t harm yourself! We’re all here!”. Hearing this, the jailer trembled with fear and fell down before Paul and Silas. He asked them, “What must I do to be saved?”. That night, the jailer and his entire household were baptized. This incident reminds us that God is always at work and can use even the most difficult situations to bring people to Him. # Are you going through difficult times?# Do not lose hope.# God is at work in your life.# Be optimistic and remain committed to following in the footsteps of Jesus.# All things will end well in your life. Prayer: Lord Jesus, please help me remain optimistic and continue my faith life in you. Amen.
