Tuesday, 5 September 2023 Today’s Word of Hope:Praise the Lord. Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever. Psalm 106:1 (NIV) Long ago, the Israelites embarked on their journey to the promised land. They had to deal with problems, hunger, and uncertainty on the way. However, God’s steadfast love shone brightly throughout it all, meeting their needs and protecting them from harm and danger. One unforgettable experience was when God led them through the Red Sea. Imagine this vast body of water separating, forming walls on both sides, while the Israelites walked on dry land. The Egyptians, who were pursuing the Israelites to recapture them as captives, were trapped in the Red Sea. When the Israelites arrived on the opposite side of the sea, they witnessed the Egyptians’ dead bodies being washed away by the raging floods. This amazing miracle demonstrated God’s strength and love for them. When they arrived at safety, they sang praise songs, knowing that the Lord’s love truly endures forever. Questions for Reflection: 1. How mindful are you of giving thanks to the Lord for His mercies in your life?2. Are you grateful to God for His blessings, or are you counting the difficulties and murmuring in your heart?3. As you think about the story, how can you show gratitude for God’s everlasting love in your daily life and with others? Prayer: Lord Jesus, please give me a grateful heart that is mindful of all your blessings in my life and a heart of praise that constantly praises you in all situations. Amen.
