Today’s Word of Hope:Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. Colossians 3:15 (NIV) The disciples were afraid after Jesus was put to death on the cross. They were undoubtedly confused behind closed doors, not knowing what to do next. However, Jesus did not abandon them. Even though the doors were closed, Jesus appeared among them in the midst of their sorrow. “Peace be with you!” Jesus said as He greeted them. He showed them His hands and side, which bore the marks of His crucifixion. The disciples were thrilled to find their Lord alive and well. Knowing that their hearts were burdened, Jesus reaffirmed His message of peace. He reassured them and breathed on them, saying, “Receive the Holy Spirit.” He gave them the authority to be His witnesses and carry on His work in the world. # Yes! Jesus has promised to offer His peace to everyone who follows in His footsteps.# No matter how difficult your circumstances are, you can still be filled with His peace and confront them with confidence. 1.
