Saturday, 30 September 2023 Today’s Word of Hope:Be patient, then, brothers and sisters, until the Lord’s coming. See how the farmer waits for the land to yield its valuable crop, patiently waiting for the autumn and spring rains. You too, be patient and stand firm, because the Lord’s coming is near. James 5:7-8 (NIV) Job was a wealthy man with everything he desired. He was God-fearing and had a loving wife and gorgeous children. However, one day, Job lost his wealth, his children, and his health all in a single day. He was devastated. He did not know why God allowed all of this to happen to him. Seeing him suffer, his wife even suggested he curse God and give up his life. But Job was patient. He continued to trust God, even though he did not understand why He allowed him to suffer. He did not curse God or give up on Him. In the end, God appreciated Job’s patience and restored everything that Job had lost. He blessed Job with double his wealth and gave back his family and health. Job was blessed more than he had been before. 1. Were there times in the past when God put your patience to the test, and how did you respond?2. What are some ways that you can be more patient in your own life? Patience is a fruit of the Holy Spirit, and it is something that we can all grow in as we walk with Jesus.# Remember that God is always with you and that He loves you.# Trust that God has a good plan for your life, even when things are difficult. Prayer: Lord Jesus, please help me to be patient in my suffering until your time of deliverance and blessing. Amen.
