Saturday, 23 December 2023 Today’s Word of Hope:Then, even if your beginnings were modest, your final days will be full of prosperity. Job 8:7 (HCSB) Being modest means being happy with your appearance without taking the spotlight away from others. It is often characterized by humility and a lack of arrogance. In a world that often celebrates self-promotion and extravagance, the biblical principle of modesty calls us to a different standard that values humility, service, and glorifying God over self. Practicing modesty means choosing humility over pride, service over self-promotion, and God’s glory over personal gain. It is about making ourselves less so that He can become more in our lives. You may be forced to be modest in your ventures and ministry. Being modest is never a weakness. Rather, it is a stepping stone to a glorious future filled with God’s blessings. Moses, described as “very humble, more so than anyone on the face of the earth,” sets a profound example of modesty. Despite leading the Israelites out of Egypt and being chosen by God to receive the Ten Commandments, Moses never sought personal glory. His priority was to serve God and his people, displaying true humility. # Examine your life today to evaluate if and how modest you are in your thoughts, attitudes, and behavior.# Be mindful of remaining a signboard for people to see Jesus through you, and never glorify yourself or take God’s honor. Prayer: Lord Jesus, please help me be modest and glorify your name through my life. Amen.
