Monday, 28 August 2023 Today’s Word of Hope:Do not pervert justice; do not show partiality to the poor or favoritism to the great. Leviticus 19:15 (NIV) * Our God is just and expects us to be fair and just people. King Solomon was well-known for his sound judgment. Two women appeared before him one day, each claiming to be the mother of a living child. Solomon had to make a difficult decision that required wisdom. In his wisdom, Solomon advocated splitting the infant in two and giving half to each woman. The real mother’s love and care were evident when she offered to give up her claim to save her child’s life. Solomon recognized her genuine heart and awarded her custody of the child. * Solomon’s impartial judgment showcased his commitment to justice, setting an example for leaders and individuals alike.* He understood that justice goes beyond personal biases and that God’s desire for fairness applies to all situations.* Treating each person fairly, regardless of their social status or influence, aligns with God’s character. * Ensure justice without favoritism.* Doing this will honor God’s commandments and contribute to a more just and equitable society. Prayer: Lord Jesus, please help me to uphold justice without showing partiality. Please give me the grace to seek fairness and justice in all aspects of my life. Amen.
