Thursday, 31 August 2023 Today’s Word of Hope:So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. Isaiah 41:10 (NIV) * This promise serves as a continual reminder that we have nothing to fear because the Creator of the universe is with us. In the book of 2 Kings, we read about an incident where the Aramean king sought to capture the prophet Elisha. When Elisha’s servant saw the overwhelming enemy forces, fear gripped him. Elisha, however, remained calm and asked God to open his servant’s eyes to see the divine protection that was present for them. God opened the servant’s eyes to a vision of fiery chariots and horses surrounding Elisha, assuring His protective presence. It serves as a testament to the promise, “Do not fear, for God is with you.” * Further in that incident, we read how the soldiers were supernaturally blinded. Elisha led them to the city of Samaria, where their sight was restored, and they were treated with kindness.* You may be walking through fiery situations and feel as if you are left to face your enemies or the challenges yourself. * Do not feel bad.* Remember God’s promise that He will be with you amid all your trials and challenges.* Remain submissive to His care, and you will soon witness deliverance in your life. Prayer: Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for being with me. Please help me remain submissive under your mighty hands, trusting in your protection. Amen.
