The Final Mile 🏃♀️

At mile 22 of the marathon, Crystal’s legs felt like lead. The midday sun beat down relentlessly, and every muscle in her body screamed for her to pull off to the side and quit. She watched other runners sit down on the curb, exhausted and defeated. It would have been so easy to join them. But Crystal kept her eyes locked on the road ahead, remembering the grueling months of training and the promise of the finish line. With her breath ragged and her body aching, she pushed through the pain, taking one agonizing step at a time until she finally crossed the line and felt the heavy finisher’s medal placed around her neck. 🏅
In the same way, our walk of faith is not a short sprint but a grueling marathon that tests our endurance to the limit. We often face seasons of intense trial, weariness, and opposition where giving up seems like the easiest option. Yet, Jesus calls us to a fierce, unwavering loyalty that persists even when the cost is high. The trials we face today are temporary, but the reward of eternal life—our victor’s crown—is secure and everlasting.
