The Winter Orchard ๐

Sarah stood at the edge of her orchard, wrapping her coat tightly against the biting winter wind. To an outsider, the rows of apple trees looked completely deadโjust gray, gnarled branches clawing at a bleak, frozen sky. There was no fruit, no green leaves, and no immediate sign of life. Yet, Sarah didnโt despair. Instead, she spent the afternoon clearing the irrigation lines and stacking wooden harvest crates in the barn. She knew the soil, and she knew the history of her trees. The winter was harsh, but she prepared with quiet expectation, absolutely certain that these very branches would be heavy with sweet, red fruit when the warm seasons returned. โ๏ธ
In the same way, we often find ourselves standing in seasons of life that feel barren, cold, and stagnant. When we face hardships, it is easy to assume that joy is a thing of the past, or something reserved only for heaven. But the Psalmist reminds us that Godโs goodness is active and promised for the โland of the livingโโour here and now. Even when the circumstances of our lives look bare, we can live with confident expectation, knowing that God is constantly working beneath the surface to bring life, restoration, and beauty back to our current situation.
