Wrapped in the Waiting 🧣
Today’s Word: 📖 “May your unfailing love be with us, LORD, even as we put our hope in you.” — Psalm 33:22 (NIV)
Clara sat by the frosted window, watching the heavy snow blanket the driveway. Her father’s flight was delayed, and the winter evening was growing darker by the minute. Instead of pacing the hallway in worry, she pulled a thick, hand-knitted quilt tightly around her shoulders—a special gift her father had made for her. The weight and warmth of the wool were a tangible reminder of his constant care. As she waited and hoped for his headlights to finally pierce through the storm, the quilt kept the chill at bay, comforting her in the quiet space of the “not yet.” ❄️
In the same way, our times of waiting and hoping in God are never meant to be cold or empty. When we place our hope in the Lord, His unfailing love wraps around us like a warm blanket, shielding us from the chill of anxiety. Hope is not just a passive wish for the future; it is an active trust that invites God’s comforting, loving presence into our present moment right now.
Response: 🚶♂️ Identify one area of your life where you are currently waiting on God, and consciously wrap yourself in His promises today by reciting His truths whenever anxiety creeps in.
Prayer: 🙏 Father, as I place my hope in You today, let me feel the warmth of Your unfailing love surrounding me. Keep me secure in Your presence while I wait for Your perfect timing. Amen.
