The Unbreakable Grip

“No one will snatch them out of my hand.”

John 10:28 (NIV)

Today's Reflection

The Unbreakable Grip 🤝

Today’s Word: 📖 “No one will snatch them out of my hand.” — John 10:28 (NIV)

Four-year-old Johnny loved exploring, but the steep, muddy trail at the state park was proving too much for his little boots. As a sudden drizzle started to fall, the path grew slick, and Johnny’s feet slipped. He gasped, expecting to tumble down the wet slope. But his father’s large, calloused hand was already wrapped firmly around his tiny wrist. Johnny tried to pull away to look at a colorful leaf, and later he stumbled over a hidden root, but his father’s grip never loosened. “I’ve got you, buddy,” his dad whispered, keeping him upright and safe. 🥾

In the same way, our security in Christ does not depend on how tightly we can hold onto Him, but on how tightly He holds onto us. Life is full of slippery slopes—doubts, trials, and unexpected failures that threaten to knock us off balance. We might stumble, or we might foolishly try to pull away, but Jesus promises that His grip is unbreakable. No circumstance, enemy, or weakness of our own can ever pry us out of His protective hand.

Response: 🚶‍♂️ Rest in the assurance of God’s grip today by consciously handing over your biggest anxiety to Him, trusting that He is holding you secure.

Prayer: 🙏 Lord, thank You for holding me close when the path of life gets slippery and uncertain. Help me to rest in the safety of Your unbreakable grip today, knowing I am forever secure in You. Amen.
