Saturday, 30 March 2024 Today’s Word of Hope:Keep your servant back from sins of pride. Psalm 19:13 (BBE) God honors those who are humble and is against those who are proud in heart. We become insensitive to God’s word when we are filled with pride. Even if we listen to hundreds of messages, pride will make us numb to the edifying word of God. We become impatient, intolerant, and arrogant, and our eyes become blind to our mistakes. We may start thinking that we are always right, and we may always become critical of others. A proud person can never be corrected for their mistakes, which can eventually lead to destruction. Remember, Lucifer was thrown down from heaven because of his pride. King Nebuchadnezzar lost his kingdom because of his pride, and King Herod was struck by an angel to death because he didn’t give God the glory and started praising himself. God hates the proud but gives grace to the humble. By being humble, you can get rid of your pride today and start enjoying your life in Christ. Only when we are humble can we receive God’s grace and be free from sin. Prayer: Lord Jesus, please help me be humble at all times and avoid the sins of pride. Amen.
