Monday, 11 September 2023 Today’s Word of Hope:He has filled him with the Spirit of God, with wisdom, with understanding, with knowledge, and with all kinds of skills. Exodus 35:31 (NIV) In the time of Moses and the Israelites’ wilderness journey, God chose a gifted craftsman named Bezalel to create beautiful and intricate designs for the construction of the Tabernacle. Bezalel was not only a skilled artisan but also a man filled with the Spirit of God. God endowed Bezalel with wisdom, understanding, knowledge, and various artistic skills, particularly in working with gold, silver, and bronze. Bezalel’s creative talents were extraordinary and divinely inspired. When God gave instructions for building the Tabernacle, a sacred place of worship to Moses, Bezalel played a pivotal role in executing that. He used his innovative skills to craft the Ark of the Covenant, the golden lampstand, the altar of incense, and many other sacred items exactly as the Lord instructed Moses to do. His craftsmanship became an integral part of Israel’s worship and a testimony to the power of God’s Spirit working through a skilled artisan. Questions for Reflection: 1.
