Saturday, 22 July 2023 Today’s Word of Hope:In my distress I called to the LORD, and he answered me. Psalm 120:1 (NKJV) * Dealing with distress can be a harrowing experience.* It is quite common for humans to encounter such situations in this world.* In times of distress and trouble, it is natural for us to seek help and comfort.* Are you disappointed you did not receive the help and comfort you expected from people you trusted? The story of Jonah shows how God responds when we turn to Him in distress. After avoiding God’s instruction, Jonah found himself in the belly of a big fish. Jonah begged the Lord for mercy in his desperate position. God heard his plea and commanded the fish to vomit Jonah onto dry land. It was a miraculous answer to Jonah’s distress, displaying God’s unfailing love and willingness to rescue those who call upon Him. * Just as God answered Jonah in his distress, He is also ready to respond to your cries.* His faithfulness and compassion are unwavering, and He longs to bring comfort, guidance, and deliverance into your life.* When you face overwhelming challenges, uncertainty, or pain, align your requests and prayers to His will and confidently call unto Him.* He will surely respond and deliver you from your distress. Prayer: Lord Jesus, hear my prayers and deliver me from all my distress. Amen.
GOD WILL RESPOND IN YOUR DISTRESS
