Thursday, 6 July 2023 Today’s Word of Hope:For Your lovingkindness is before my eyes. Psalm 26:3 (NKJV) * God is loving and caring.* Sending His only son, Jesus to die as a ransom for you and me and reconcile us with Him demonstrates the depth of His love.* Do you love God?* How often do you think of God’s love?* The Psalmist asserts that God’s lovingkindness is before His eyes. The parable of the Prodigal Son, recorded in Luke 15, depicts the father’s exceptional lovingkindness. Driven by an impulse for independence, the younger son demands his inheritance and starts on a reckless trip, spending everything in a life of luxury. When faced with destitution and a longing for a home, he resolves to return, hoping to be at least treated as a hired servant in his father’s house. However, as he approaches his home, the father notices his lost son from a distance and rushes to embrace him. Instead of condemning or rejecting him, the father lavishes forgiveness on the guilty son and returns him to his proper place in the family. This parable reflects our Heavenly Father’s inexhaustible compassion and mercy. * He awaits our return with wide arms and abundant grace, no matter how far we have strayed or how deep our mistakes have become.* It is a powerful reminder that we are never out of God’s reach and that sincere repentance and forgiveness offer immeasurable delight in heaven.* Spend time recognizing and reflecting on God’s love; it will impact your perspective, ideas, actions, and connection with Him.* Remembering God’s lovingkindness will enable you to walk confidently with Him daily. Prayer: Thank you, Lord Jesus, for your lovingkindness. Please help me to keep this in mind and to always be grateful. Amen.
