Sunday, 9 July 2023 Today’s Word of Hope:Keep your heart with all diligence, For out of it spring the issues of life. Proverbs 4:23 (NKJV) * Diligence is an important quality that empowers us to grow, learn, and accomplish great things in life.* It entails being determined and persevering, staying focused, taking responsibility, and doing our best even in challenging times. * Your heart plays a significant role in your emotions and can easily sway you to extremes, particularly in times of success, disappointment, and failure.* Therefore, it is essential to guard your heart with all diligence. * The Bible provides numerous examples of courageous men and women who faced difficult circumstances.* Despite enduring emotional hardships, they diligently guarded their hearts and maintained their faith in God. Joseph is one example who was initially subjected to unimaginable hardships by his brothers and then by different people in a foreign land. He was allured to compromise his integrity and then unjustly imprisoned for being upright. However, Joseph remained unwavering in his faith and integrity. Moreover, God was with Joseph, blessing him and ultimately elevating him to a position of authority in Egypt. * Diligently protecting our hearts means intentionally aligning our thoughts, desires, and actions with God’s Word, seeking His guidance, and relying on His strength to resist temptation.* By practicing diligence, we increase our chances of achieving success and attaining the desired outcomes in our lives.* Furthermore, we will experience God’s abundant blessings and radiate His joy and peace to those around us. Prayer: Lord Jesus, please help me guard my heart diligently and enjoy your life-giving presence and blessings. Amen.
