While the preacher was talking about the purpose of Jesus coming to this earth and how he could bring salvation and eternal life, I started to remember my wrongdoings in life, which were flashing before my eyes one after the other, as if I were watching a movie on a giant screen. I felt miserable and desperately wanted to get rid of them. The preacher’s words that Jesus came into this world to atone for our sins by offering His life as a sacrifice gave me hope, and I began asking for forgiveness for my transgressions. Tears streamed down my cheeks as I committed to follow in His footsteps. While praying, I felt some burden being released from my heart, and I felt like I could fly through the air.
