The birth of Jesus was not an accident. It was part of God’s grand plan and has been foretold for centuries. When the moment came, there were no deviations from the plan. The prophecies about Jesus were fulfilled as prophesied. The word of God never fails. Do not lose hope if you are awaiting the fulfillment of God’s promises in your life. It will unfold in His timing. If God has made a promise, He will fulfill it. Below are the prophecies about the birth of Jesus and their fulfillment. Prophecy - “Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel” (Isaiah 7:14). Fulfillment: Mary was a virgin at the time of the divine visitation and conception by the Holy Spirit. She gave birth to Jesus. Prophecy - “But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come for me one who will be ruler over Israel, whose origins are from of old, from ancient times.” (Micah 5:2). Fulfillment: “When King Herod had gathered all the prominent priests and teachers of the law of the people, he asked them where the Messiah would be born. In Bethlehem, Judah, they responded. (Matthew 2:4-5). Yes!. Despite being a tiny community, Bethlehem rose to prominence after the birth of Jesus, the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. There are many more prophesies concerning Jesus and His ministry, which have all been appropriately fulfilled. God’s word is life. It is given to us as a great source of encouragement, food for nourishment, a promise to hold on, a warning for correction, and a law to follow. According to Matthew 5:18 NLT, “I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not even the smallest detail of God’s law will disappear until its purpose is achieved.” and 2 Corinthians 1:20 NLT, “For all of God’s promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding “Yes!” And through Christ, our “Amen” (which means “Yes”) ascends to God for his glory.“ His word will not return to Him without accomplishing His purpose, as found in Isaiah 55:11 NKJV, which says, “So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.” Therefore, Build your life with God’s word as the foundation and promises to fall back. Let your soul be nourished with His word and your spirit united with the Holy Spirit. Remain committed to exhibiting the exact nature of God. Be careful with your words. Keep up your promises and let them also be Yes and Amen. Let your talk and walk be the same. May Christ be seen alive in your life in this world. This will be the most credible testimony.
