Saturday, 12 August 2023 Today’s Word of Hope:Do to others as you would like them to do to you. Luke 6:31 (NLT) * When we are in need, it is natural to expect support from others.* Often, we feel disappointed when our friends, family, and coworkers fail to respond to our crisis.* How about looking at how we helped others in times of trouble? * The golden rule, which Jesus proclaimed in Luke 6:31, is a powerful reminder of the necessity of being considerate and treating others with love and respect. In the same gospel, we read about the good Samaritan who deviated from his path to help the robbed and abandoned half-dead man. He bandaged the man’s wounds, pouring oil and wine on them to soothe his pain. He then placed the man on his donkey and brought him to an inn, where he took care of him. The Samaritan provided money to the innkeeper the next day, telling him to care for the man and promising to reimburse any further expenses when he returned. The Good Samaritan’s considerate love and sincere concern for a needy stranger motivated his actions. He treated the injured man as he would like to be treated. * As followers of Christ, we are expected to treat others with the same kindness, respect, and compassion that we desire for ourselves.* Intentionally cultivate this nature and reflect Christ in your life.* You will surely leave a lasting impact on this generation. Prayer: Lord Jesus, please help me be considerate and show your love to others. Amen.
