When God's hand is upon your life, doors...

“The king had granted him everything he asked, for the hand of the LORD his God was on him.”

Ezra 7:6 (NIV)

Today's Reflection

The Opened Door 🔑

Today’s Word: 📖 “The king had granted him everything he asked, for the hand of the LORD his God was on him.” — Ezra 7:6 (NIV)

Jenny stood outside the city council chambers, clutching her proposal for a new neighborhood youth center. The council was notorious for its tight budgets and strict rejections, and she knew the odds were against her. She had spent weeks preparing, but more importantly, she had spent weeks praying, asking God to guide her steps. When her name was called, she walked in with a racing heart but a quiet spirit. To her amazement, as she spoke, the atmosphere in the room shifted. The council didn’t just approve her request; they offered additional city funds and resources she hadn’t even dared to ask for. It felt as though an invisible hand had gone before her, unlocking doors she could never have opened on her own. 🚪

In the same way, when we align our hearts with God’s purposes, we begin to experience opportunities that no human effort could secure. Ezra was a man dedicated to studying, practicing, and teaching God’s ways. Because his heart was set on serving God, the Lord moved the heart of a powerful king to grant him favor. When the hand of the Lord is upon your life, you do not have to force your way forward; God will pave the way and provide exactly what you need to fulfill His plans.

Response: 🚶‍♂️ Identify one challenge or opportunity you are facing today, and instead of trying to force it in your own strength, invite God to place His hand of favor upon it.

Prayer: 🙏 Heavenly Father, thank You that Your favor can open doors that no human hand can shut. Guide my steps today, and let Your hand rest upon my life as I seek to honor You in all I do. Amen.
