When fear tries to overwhelm you, remember that God is in control.

“Don't be afraid; just believe.”

Luke 8:50 (NIV)

Today's Reflection

The Leap of Trust 🌊

Today’s Word: 📖 “Don’t be afraid; just believe.” — Luke 8:50 (NIV)

Little Leo stood shivering at the edge of the pool, staring down into the deep end. To his six-year-old eyes, the water looked like a vast, swallowing abyss. His knees shook, and every instinct screamed at him to run back to the safety of the dry concrete. 🏊‍♂️

But standing in the water, just a few feet away, was his father. With arms wide open and a reassuring smile, his dad said, “Don’t look at the water, Leo. Just look at me. Jump, and I promise I’ll catch you.” Leo took a deep breath, shut his eyes to the scary depth, and leaped into the air. A split second later, he was safe in his father’s strong, lifting grip.

In the same way, fear threatens to paralyze us when we stand on the edge of difficult situations. We receive bad news, face uncertain futures, or feel overwhelmed by our circumstances. But you are not alone. In those moments, Jesus steps into the deep water with us and asks us to shift our focus. He doesn’t want us to stare at the depth of our problems; He wants us to lock eyes with Him and trust His ability to catch us.

Response: 🚶‍♂️ Identify one worry that is paralyzing you today, hand it over to God in prayer, and consciously choose to trust His hand instead of your fear.

Prayer: 🙏 Lord Jesus, when fear tells me to shrink back, help me to look at Your face instead of my problems. I choose to let go of my worries and leap into the safety of Your loving arms. Amen.
