Guided by the Unseen ✈️
Today’s Word: 📖 “Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.” — Hebrews 11:1 (NIV)
Captain Sarah stared into a wall of solid white. Flying at ten thousand feet, a sudden, dense fog had swallowed her aircraft, completely erasing the horizon. To the untrained eye, it felt like flying into absolute nothingness. Yet, Sarah didn’t panic. Instead of straining to peer through the windshield, she lowered her gaze to the instrument panel on her dashboard. ✈️ The digital displays and coordinates told her exactly where the plane was and where the runway lay, miles ahead. She couldn’t see the ground with her eyes, but she had complete assurance in the guidance system designed to lead her home.
In the same way, when our circumstances are clouded by uncertainty, transitions, or grief, we often cannot see what lies ahead. But faith acts as the spiritual instrument panel for our lives during those moments. Faith does not mean we have all the answers; it means we rely on the unchanging character and promises of God rather than our own limited vision. It is the quiet, unshakable confidence that God is navigating our path, even when the horizon is completely hidden from view.
Response: 🚶♂️ When you face a worry or decision today where you cannot see the outcome, choose to trust God’s track record and His Word over your feelings.
Prayer: 🙏 Father, when my path is clouded and I cannot see the next step, help me to rely on the truth of Your Word rather than my own sight. Give me the confidence to trust Your navigation, knowing You are leading me safely forward. Amen.
