Wednesday, 10 April 2024 Today’s Word of Hope:It does not, therefore, depend on human desire or effort, but on God’s mercy. Romans 9:16 (NIV) God is merciful and compassionate, merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love. He will not always chide, nor will he keep his anger forever. He does not deal with us according to our sins nor repay us according to our iniquities. God’s mercy is not based on our performance or merit. Instead, it is a gift that we receive by faith. Jesus Christ is the ultimate expression of God’s mercy. He came to earth to show us the way to the Father and to die for our sins. All we must do is believe in Jesus and go to Him with an open heart. If we come to Jesus with a repentant heart, He will always accept us. Trusting in God’s mercy requires humility and faith. We must acknowledge our need for Him and lay down our pride. When we do this, we can experience the fullness of His grace and love. Prayer: Dear Lord Jesus, please help me trust in you and experience your mercy always. Amen.
