Prepared for the Pitch ⚽
Today’s Word: 📖 “Who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?” — Esther 4:14 (NIV)
Joe sat on the bench, his varsity soccer jersey pristine and sweat-free. As the backup goalkeeper, he spent most of the season watching from the sidelines, occasionally wondering why he even showed up to practice. But in the final minutes of the championship game, the starting goalie collided with a striker and hobbled off the field.
The coach turned to Joe, pointing toward the goal net. ⚽ With his heart pounding, Joe stepped onto the field. He wasn’t there by accident; every grueling, unseen practice had prepared him for this exact, high-stakes moment.
The same holds true for us: we often find ourselves in situations we didn’t plan for, wondering why we are in a particular job, family dynamic, or difficult season. God does not waste our placement. He positions us intentionally, equipping us through our past experiences to serve His purposes right where we are. You are not where you are by accident; you have been placed there to bring His light and courage to those around you.
Response: 🚶♂️ Look at your current circumstances not as an obstacle, but as a divinely appointed opportunity to show God’s love to someone today.
Prayer: 🙏 Lord, thank You for placing me exactly where I am today. Give me the courage to step up and serve You in this very moment, trusting that You have prepared me for such a time as this. Amen.
