You are never alone, no matter what you are facing today.

“I will never leave you nor forsake you.”

Joshua 1:5 (NIV)

Today's Reflection

The Hand in the Dark 🤝

Today’s Word: 📖 “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” — Joshua 1:5 (NIV)

Seven-year-old Leo dreaded the long, dark hallway in his grandmother’s old house. At night, the shadows seemed to stretch, and every creaking floorboard sounded like a threat. One evening, a sudden storm knocked the power out, plunging the entire house into pitch blackness. Terrified, Leo froze in the middle of the hall. Suddenly, he felt a warm, firm hand wrap around his. It was his father. “I’m right here, Leo,” his dad whispered. “We’ll walk together.” Though the darkness didn’t instantly vanish, the fear did. Leo didn’t need to see the way forward anymore; he just needed to hold onto the hand that promised not to let go.

Similarly, we often find ourselves stepping into seasons of uncertainty, transition, or grief where we cannot see what lies ahead. In those moments, it is easy to feel completely abandoned and alone. But God’s promise to us is that His presence is not dependent on our ability to see Him. Even when the room is dark and the future is unclear, He is holding our hand, promising that we will never have to face the shadows alone.

Response: 🚶‍♂️ Whenever you feel overwhelmed or lonely today, pause, close your eyes, and consciously remind yourself that the Lord is standing right beside you in this very moment.

Prayer: 🙏 Father, thank You for holding my hand when the path ahead looks dark and uncertain. Help me to rest in the comfort of Your constant presence, knowing You will never leave my side. Amen.
