Sunday, 1 January 2023 Today’s Word of Hope:Today I declare That I will restore double to you. Zechariah 9:12 (NKJV). Dearly beloved in Christ, I wish and pray that God will grant you a double restoration as you begin a new year. * The previous year might have been marked by grief, adversity, and losses.* You might be frightened of enduring another year in the same situation. * Don’t worry.* Do not Fear. Trust God.* Offer your life, legal rights, personal authority, and control over the resources to God’s command, along with all your problems and difficulties.* You will surely see a difference. * Joseph gave his life to the Lord and remained firm in pursuing Godly virtues and values. When the land of Canaan was divided among the twelve tribes of Israel, Joseph received two portions. * In the midst of humiliation, Hannah was given a double portion by her husband whenever they offered sacrifice to the Lord. * Elisha, the prophet, humbled himself and committed to serving and following his master Elijah. He was rewarded with two portions of God’s spirit. * Despite his losses, Job did not deny God. He remained intimate with God and obedient to Him. When God restored Job’s health and family, he had twice the wealth. * Israel received a double share of Manna on the sixth day when they followed God’s instructions. * God offers a double portion in the land and everlasting delight to those who were praising God in the midst of their humiliation. * Likewise, God will do the same to you this year. Prayer: Lord Jesus, I offer myself and all I have to be under your authority. I submit my problems and difficulties also to be under your care. Please, restore my blessings in double portion. Amen.
