Thursday, 7 December 2023 Today’s Word of Hope:In the midst of a very severe trial, their overflowing joy and their extreme poverty welled up in rich generosity. 2 Corinthians 8:2 (NIV) The apostle Paul is certifying to the generosity of the Macedonian churches, who, despite their deprived state, exhibit a remarkable willingness to contribute freely towards assisting other believers who are in need. God highly values the act of giving generously.All people have needs of one kind or another. God demonstrated generosity by sacrificing His only son, Jesus, as a redemption for you and me. # Even as you celebrate Christmas, examine your level of generosity.# When it comes to donating to others, are you stingy?# According to the Holy Bible, it is more blessed to give than to receive. # The Macedonians initially surrendered themselves to the Lord.# Then, they began to aid others by giving in kind.# Look around you to identify those who are in need.# Give your time and money to help someone in need and give them hope and joy.# Spend some time sending encouraging notes to those in need of hope in order to bring them more happiness.# Share your food with people in need. # In the name of Jesus, give, give, and keep giving.# Let your love and sacrifice be evident in your deeds that promote hope and joy.# May your life exemplify God’s generosity. Prayer: Lord Jesus, please help me overcome my stinginess and be generous in all aspects of my life. Amen.
