Thursday, 25 January 2024 Today’s Word of Hope:I am putting my bow in the clouds. It will be the sign of my covenant with the world. Genesis 9:13 (GNT) The Bible tells us that after a great flood that destroyed the world, except for those saved in the ark, God made a covenant with Noah. He promised never again to destroy the earth with a flood. He displayed His bow as a symbol of the covenant, later known as the rainbow. - In the New Testament, we learn that God established a new covenant through the sacrifice of His son Jesus on the cross. He promised salvation to all those who call and believe in Jesus.- Today, through this new covenant, we are saved and have received the right to be called God’s children.- The new covenant relies on grace and forgiveness, whereas the old covenant relies on obedience to the law. - As God’s children, we should live according to the new covenant and follow Jesus’ teachings.- We have to share the message of the covenant with others so that they, too, may experience the grace and forgiveness that God offers through Jesus.- Will you share this good news with others? Prayer: Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for your covenant. Please help us to live by it and share the good news with those around us. Amen.
