Proverbs 12:26 (NIV) “Tell me about your friend, and I will tell you who you are,” says a famous proverb. This emphasizes the importance of friendships. What kind of friends do you have, and what kind of friend are you to others? Both aspects are equally important in life. If you spend time with those who are ungodly and follow their advice, you risk getting lost on your life’s path. As a child of God, it is essential to be wise in choosing your friends. Above all, make Jesus your friend. He is trustworthy, ever-present in times of trouble, and can always offer you wise counsel and direction. He alone truly understands your feelings. Therefore, try to spend time with Jesus, and your life will transform for the better. Prayer: Lord Jesus, please be my friend and help me be a good friend to others. Amen.
